These marimba quartets, specifically arranged by Joby Burgess for this recording, at the request of Eric Whitaker himself, show the choral works of Whitaker in a unique timbre. The warm and earthly tones fo the marimba compliment Whitaker's composition perfectly, as if the pieces were originally written for the instrument.
