‘Soul Grooves’ is an exhilarating excursion into the vibe of late 60s, early 70s soul music. And even after repeated encounters it retains a vibrancy and newness that tells the listen that he or she is in presence of something unique. To put his own stamp on seven pop standards and bring to life three new Bollenback originals, Paul assembled a seven-piece ensemble with some of the leading young figures on the New York jazz scene.
